About the Founder
Akmeisty was founded by Natalija, a London-based architect and designer originally from Vilnius. At the age of 18, she moved to the UK to study architecture, eventually building a successful career working on large-scale projects across Europe.
Over time, her creative focus shifted toward something more intimate — something that allowed her to work with her hands and return to the tactility of craft. What began as a personal exploration grew into Akmeisty: a jewellery brand rooted in artistic expression, material sensitivity, and architectural clarity. Drawing on her background in spatial design and visual arts, Natalija brings a sculptural mindset to every piece. Each design is handcrafted using the lost wax casting technique, made in small batches to preserve uniqueness and quality.
She wears every design herself — testing them not just for beauty, but for how they feel, age, and live on the body. Every Akmeisty collection carries its own quiet philosophy, inspired by memories, natural forms, and symbolic language.
Natalija has developed her collections between London, Copenhagen, and the Baltic region — working closely with local workshops and makers to bring each design to life with precision and care. During her time in Copenhagen, she had the opportunity to learn and gain hands-on experience from one of the city’s most established jewellers, whose atelier is known for its long-standing heritage and refined craftsmanship. This experience deeply shaped her approach to quality and detail.
‘Making jewellery is a ritual — thoughtful, textural, enduring.’
